Something that makes me happy...

In preface to this video...
my friends and I decided to learn how to knit recently.

So over the past few weeks we have been trying to knit washcloths and these cute little birds...
all in an attempt to knit these adorable monsters that we found on Danger Crafts by Rebecca Danger.

P.S. You can find her items on Etsy, simply search "Danger Crafts"

{Then}
I was on Rebecca Danger's blog today,
and she has this video posted.

It was made by someone who had used her pattern for a monster.
I simply cannot watch this video without smiling.

So... in all of this...
I hope you have a happy - smiling - {monster loving} filled day!

P.P.S. this video was made by this woman because it was her son's birthday - that's why it says Happy Birthday in it.

Blessing Day

Today was Eithan's Baby Blessing.

He was blessed by his wonderful daddy Collin.

Those who were in the circle included:
Grandpa Rose, Grandpa Winks, Paul Gessel (brother-in-law),
Mike Asay (friend and mission companion), Tim Schmidt (friend), Jeremy Cardon (friend), and Bishop Lawson.

It was a wonderful day, and we were so grateful that so many of our family members were able to make it!

All the family that was there!
(except we are missing Bradon and Raleigh-Hillary's little ones)

All in all, it was a wonderful day!

*********

But at this point, I know you are all dying to see the little man in his blessing outfit. So, I won't disappoint you!

I think this is his "gangsta" face
{This is because of that hat, doesn't it look 'thug'?}

Eithan's sweet and smiling pose-
daddy is up above him making him happy!

I don't know what to call this one-
but it's just doggone cute!

And finally, our precious little one at his finest!

Thank you to everyone that came! We love all of you, and we missed all of you who couldn't come!

We want all of you to know that we are so grateful for this church, and we are so grateful that now Eithan is officially on the records of the church and will be linked with us forever. We are so blessed to have this gospel, and to have the knowledge of eternal families. We are ever striving to be worthy to live together with our Heavenly Father and our little angel Joshua. We must never lose sight of the end goal: eternal life with our loved ones and Jesus.

Love you all!

3 Months

I am absolutely horrible at picking only one picture that
I really and truly like.

So, yet again- here are several from the photo shoot
that we had today.

eithan's "thoughtful" pose

eithan's "i'm going to smile but not so that you can take
a picture" look

"i'm concerned by this whole photo thing mom"

Eithan is doing really well. He is learning and growing and developing into a
wonderful little baby boy. He is a truly happy baby. Collin and I could not have asked for more.

Eithan tidbits:

*Recently he has discovered the joys of sucking on his hands.
Anytime that he can get them into his mouth, he sucks on them.

*He is always happy when he is on his changing pad.
It is here that he smiles the most.

*He is outgrowing his 0-3 month clothing.

*He loves sleeping on mom and dad's bed better than his own.

*He really doesn't like it when we're on the computer and he is awake.

*He's developed a slight bald spot on the back of his head
(too much time on his back I guess).

*All in all, a happy baby boy.

Tough Guy

I want to give some preface to the post today.

When Collin and I were at Primary Children's with Joshua, we were privileged to meet another couple who were there with their daughter. They had had twins (one boy and one girl) at about 24 weeks. Their little boy passed away within a few days of birth. Their little girl stayed with them. It was this couple with their little girl who became some good friends while we were at Primary Children's.

So, they had been at the hospital for a while and their little one was getting ready to go home. By then they had come to know us and our struggles with Joshua, and they bought him a onesie. He was never able to wear this onesie, but we all thought that it suited him.

Now, Eithan is of a size that he can wear this onesie. And I decided to have a little fun with it- so I gave him a "faux" hawk and took some pics of the "Tough Guy".

Sitting like a big boy in our blue "papasan type" chair.

Turning away at the last second so that mom only got the
side of his face smiling.

Giving us his "I know I'm cool" look.

I just had to share this pictures. And then... I was able to get a video of him chomping on his hand. He has been having such fun with licking and sucking on things as of late. And here he is doing exactly that.

Besides all this fun stuff, Collin and I have simply been plugging away at life. I have started a Relief Society Program called "Women of Faith". It is a 3 month program to help us become more spiritual, physical (exercise), and service oriented. I have had fun working on it so far. I love having check lists. So having this check list has been a great deal of fun for me.

Oh- Collin and his friend Mike went out to Potholes Park last weekend to look for antlers so that they can make knives. And they found one! I think that was the highlight of his week. He was so proud of it that he couldn't wait to show it off as soon as he got home. Now it is sitting in his office waiting to get torn apart. Guys. They sure are funny sometimes, huh?

Alright, I'll post again soon. I think this one has been plenty long. Love you guys!
