Tough Guy

I want to give some preface to the post today.

When Collin and I were at Primary Children's with Joshua, we were privileged to meet another couple who were there with their daughter. They had had twins (one boy and one girl) at about 24 weeks. Their little boy passed away within a few days of birth. Their little girl stayed with them. It was this couple with their little girl who became some good friends while we were at Primary Children's.

So, they had been at the hospital for a while and their little one was getting ready to go home. By then they had come to know us and our struggles with Joshua, and they bought him a onesie. He was never able to wear this onesie, but we all thought that it suited him.

Now, Eithan is of a size that he can wear this onesie. And I decided to have a little fun with it- so I gave him a "faux" hawk and took some pics of the "Tough Guy".

Sitting like a big boy in our blue "papasan type" chair.

Turning away at the last second so that mom only got the
side of his face smiling.

Giving us his "I know I'm cool" look.

I just had to share this pictures. And then... I was able to get a video of him chomping on his hand. He has been having such fun with licking and sucking on things as of late. And here he is doing exactly that.

Besides all this fun stuff, Collin and I have simply been plugging away at life. I have started a Relief Society Program called "Women of Faith". It is a 3 month program to help us become more spiritual, physical (exercise), and service oriented. I have had fun working on it so far. I love having check lists. So having this check list has been a great deal of fun for me.

Oh- Collin and his friend Mike went out to Potholes Park last weekend to look for antlers so that they can make knives. And they found one! I think that was the highlight of his week. He was so proud of it that he couldn't wait to show it off as soon as he got home. Now it is sitting in his office waiting to get torn apart. Guys. They sure are funny sometimes, huh?

Alright, I'll post again soon. I think this one has been plenty long. Love you guys!

  1. So sweet that Eithan can wear his brother's shirt. I can't wait for the day that Brody has some hair that I can style :) What a cute little guy you guys have!
