Crawling Along...

August 14th 2011

Eithan has been scooting along for a while now...
but this last week and a half he's started really crawling.

I thought that this would be a slow process,
but he started crawling...climbing...discovering like crazy!

It is fun and exciting and scary all at the same time.
And let's just say... my house is not baby proof.

Thus, the last couple of days have been interesting here in the apartment,
as we figure out all the things he can get into.
{And I try to get everything put away.}

Just another cute one that I liked...

And for your viewing pleasure... a fun video of his adorable crawl.

8 Months

July 18th 2011

Here's the little munchkin at 8 Months!

-Scooting around like a little pro
{still figuring out the whole crawling idea}

-Wants everything that he can't have
{remotes, laptops, telephones, our food}

-Finds being held in the air very humorous
{he just laughs and giggles while he's up there}

-Learning how to eat solid food more with "Baby Mum-Mum Rice Rusks"

-In size 12 Month clothing
{I still can't figure out why there isn't a 9-12 month size?}

-Is sleeping through the night, but not without a few 'helps'.
{needs pacifier back in his mouth, needs help getting un-stuck from the corner, etc.}

-Wakes up as soon as the sun comes up {almost}
{This means we are consistently up between 6-7 AM every day}

-Doesn't really like being in the car for too long
{which is difficult since we've been doing a lot of driving}

-Loves to play with his cousins who just came for a visit.
{Korban, Camden, and Addison Rose}

-Discovering his other cousin Brody
{They played nicely together on the floor the other day}

All in all, still a happy, bouncy, giggly, baby boy.

P.S. Mom is still working on herself being happy, bouncy and giggly,
but we're slowly getting there.

As I get more sleep, I think it will be easier.

7 Months

Here is my little sweetness at 7 months!

-scooting a little

-seems to have forgotten how to roll over

-likes to sit up by himself (although we have to put him there)

-while sitting up he loves to bang his arms up and down,

along with his feet,

and this puts him in a sort of rocking motion

where it looks like he is going to fall over...

but he doesn't {smile}

-chews on all things that he can put in his mouth

-loves being outside (just like daddy)

-misses daddy (he's at scout camp)

-jabbers away all day, and tells me when something is wrong (forcefully)

-all in all a very happy baby boy

{oh why do they grow up so fast?}

I'll go half-ers, literally.

Since Eithan loves his feet so much,

I've been able to get quite a few pictures of him folding in half.

He will simply grab on to his foot {or both feet}

and then bring it to his mouth.

It is at that point he sticks those toes into his mouth.

He slurps, sucks, licks and chews on those fivers like nothing I have seen before.

And doesn't he just look adorable doing it??

{smile}

I like pants...

June 14th 2011

I have a question for you mothers out there...

Do your children eat your pants???

Eithan will simply attack my pants, specifically around my knees.

{which is difficult for me, because it tickles while he licks my knee}

And even though I end up with wet spots on my pants...

it's just so cute to see him eating my pants.

********

Side Story:

Eithan tried an orange for the first time today.

I was eating an orange, and Eithan started to wimper that he wanted some.

So, I obliged him and started giving little bits of the wedge to him.

This was taking too long, for me.

{I mean he hadn't even eaten half of the wedge by the time I finished my orange.}

Thus, I did what any good mother would do...

I ate the remainder of the wedge.

Eithan. Screamed. Bloody. Murder.

I didn't realize how much that wedge of orange meant to him.

He cried and cried until I prepared him some more food.

Then, all was OK with the world once more.

{smile, giggle, smile}

Gotta love these little guys when the world completely revolves around them.

what we woke up to this morning...

Eithan had been restless in bed for a while, so I finally peeked my ahead above the covers to see what was going on in that crib of his... and this is what we found.

The little munchkin twisted/rolled/scooted around in his crib {with his arms wrapped up} until he could see us in a "new" direction.

Gotta love this little guy!
