"At the car wash!" ... and Memorial Day

May 28th 2011

Our Hyundai really needed a wash... so we took it to the car wash.

I'm not sure what Eithan thought of it all,
but he was a patient guy in his car seat while we scrubbed away.

"Chillin' at the car wash" - in his super cool car seat.
{Isn't that what all the cool kids do? smile}

Watching daddy clean the car, well spray it actually, but no need to be specific right?

Then later that day, Eithan decided to attack his developmental toy.
He was sitting up in his Boppy,
and then he would grab the bar that the toys hang from.
He wanted to put the bar in his mouth,
but he couldn't quite get it from his hand to his mouth without falling over....

thus this picture.

Memorial Day - May 30th 2011

We went to Wenatchee and walked along this trail.

Honestly, we thought it would be more adventuresome than it was, but that's OK.
Why? You may ask...
because I was able to hit the mall and Old Navy while we were there.
Shopping = Fun
No matter what happened earlier.

That evening, we had a wonderful Bar-B-Que with our friends the Schmidts.
We all like to play games, so we played Bocci Ball.

Collin, Tim and Brittany socializing.
Macy is down at Tim's feet trying to get a ball.

Collin, Brittany and Tim.
The blanket you see hanging down from Tim's arms is indeed their other little girl Sydney.
He played the whole game whilst holding her.
Quite impressive.

{Side comment, Collin is tossing his ball in the air. Every single time he gets a ball or something similar to a ball, he throws it in the air. And almost every single time, he drops it and hits something or someone else or breaks something. He did drop this ball later on, though I don't remember if he hurt anything... }

Macy stealing the white ball that we were aiming our balls towards.
Tim was attempting to coax her in putting it back.
{He then scooted it closer to his team's ball. wink wink}

The cutest picture of Eithan and myself.
{I still think it's quite funny that I caught him making this face.}

What we came back to later while we were playing.
We kept trying to wrap him up to keep him warm,
and he, of course, tried to eat his coverings.

All in all, it was a great Memorial Day.

And I must remember here how grateful I am for those
who helped give us this freedom to enjoy this day as we did.

  1. I can't think of a better way to spend Memorial Day. Looks like you guys had fun. BTW, did Tim win? LOL. Eithan is seriously cute. I can't believe he's sitting up. Sophie's not quite there yet, and I can't imagine that she will be doing it in about a month (as you can see, I gauge what Sophie's probably going to be doing about a month on what Eithan is doing right now). So did you get anything fun at Old Navy?
